Tsunami Project

Dileni and Dineth raised over US $9000 for their Tsunami Project. They collected funds in three different ways:

Corporate Donors
Thanks to all the NitroMed employees who contributed to the fund, we raised a grand total of $8172.00.  The fund was distributed through the Ruhuna University Science Teachers Association (RUSTA), with the help of Dr. (Ms) Madurani Edussuriya (madurani@chem.ruh.ac.lk) of the University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka.

Lexington Community
We also want to thank Dileni and Dineth’s Lexington neighborhood and community on behalf of the Sri Lanka Association of New England. The Lexington community raised about $400.00 which was distributed by Dr. Sumathipala from the Tsunami Relief Fund at the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka.

“Birthday Gift Donation"
This fund was sponsored by Dileni Bandarage and Dineth Bandarage by donating through their "Birthday Gift Donation" program. The fund is distributing monies on a monthly basis through the University of Kelaniya Alumni Fund with the help of Dr Sumathipala, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, to Lahiru de Silva for his academic expenses all the way from grade 7-12.
